The Sphinx is a 1933 American film directed by Phil Rosen.
It was remade by Rosen in 1942 as The Phantom Killer (produced in 1942).
Synopsis:
A man known for being mute is suspected of being the murderer because he was present at the crime scene.
But witnesses saw and heard him talking as he left the crime scene.
The police must determine whether he is the real culprit or whether he was trapped.
