Hearts in Exile is a 1915 American film directed by James Young.

Synopsis:
During the Russian tsarist era, the charming Anna Ivanovna dedicated her life to the persecuted poor of Russia.

She distributes food, medicine, and funds to the needy from her busy charity headquarters.

Ivanovna is in love with two men of different social status: Paulo, a poor doctor, helps as much as he can, and Serge, a wealthy merchant, donates money.

The obstinate and lewd police chief is attracted to Ivanovna's beauty and chastity, and decides to possess her.

He sentences all three to 15 years in prison in Siberia and East Russia on false charges.
