Topper Returns (1941) is the third and final film in an earlier series of films inspired by Thorne-Smith's novels.

This is the work that follows ``Topper (Movie)'' (1937) and ``Topper Goes on a Journey'' (1938).

As in the previous film, Roland Young and Billy Burke play Topper, and Joan Blondell plays the murder victim and ghost.

Synopsis:
She rescues her friend, played by Carol Landis, and attempts to uncover the culprit's true identity with the help of a reluctant Cosmo Topper.
