Griffith.

This is Griffith's directorial debut.

Synopsis:
On a warm, sunny summer day, a father and mother take their young daughter, Dolly, to the riverside.

A gypsy basket seller shows up and gets angry because his mother won't buy anything.

He attacks a mother and daughter, but is chased away by her father.

Gypsy then sneaks back and kidnaps her daughter.

A rescue party is arranged, but Gypsy hides the child in a 30-gallon barrel and precariously places him in the back of a wagon.

The gypsy and his wife flee by crossing the river in a wagon.

The barrel escapes with Dory still inside and falls into the river.
